Promotion Policy

Teachers will use a variety of methods to determine student promotion at the end of the school year. This may include but not limited to ongoing daily classroom observations, assessment activities that cover multiple elements, performance tasks and performance events. Teachers will report student progress based on the documented evidence of academic performance for each nine-week grading period. End of Grade (EOG) Test scores may also be used to support a promotion/retention decision, but shall not be used as the sole criteria.
