Environmental Education Day give 5th grade students hands on activities that relates to the environment, how to conserve North Carolina's natural resources, and gives them background knowledge to use in the classroom to better prepare them for the Science EOG. Environmental Education Day also gathers community members to do the presentations. Students have a full day of science learning outside of the normal classroom.

    Way to Go GCIS!

GCIS collected 769 cans of food in one week for GC Interfaith. The fourth grade class that brought in the most items was Mrs. Kearney's and the fifth grade class with the most items was Mrs. DeLallo's. These classes will enjoy some extra recess time.
